Learning Outcomes

  1. Effectively perform introductory and intermediate massage techniques on a simulated patient.

  2. Demonstrate palpation techniques to locate and assess muscle and fascial tissues.

  3. Apply knowledge of anatomy and physiology of fascia during assessment and massage therapy treatment.

  4. Integrate hydrotherapy applications and remedial exercise into treatment and home care.

  5. Evaluate personal experience during practical laboratory to engage in ongoing reflective practice.

  6. Perform draping and consent for sensitive areas.

  7. Perform a 75-minute therapeutic treatment on a simulated client based on a specified treatment plan that complies with the standards of the regulatory body.

  8. Apply knowledge of the skeletal and articular system including bones, bony landmarks, muscle anatomy and physiology, Origins and Insertions and Assessments that meets the level of understanding.
