Interview Assignment (Married Couples)
Overall Requirement: Each student must interview two legally married couples.
Group Total: For a group of members, a total of interviews are required.
Stage Coverage: All stages of the family life cycle must be covered across the group's interviews.
Couples' Relationship: Interviewed couples cannot both be related to the interviewer.
Determination of Stages: Use common sense, as specific age brackets can be confusing.
Family Life Cycle Stages and Interview Allocations
Stage : Beginning Families / Childbearing Families
Definition: Couples with no children yet, or whose oldest child is a baby (ages to ).
Need: The group currently needs more interviews in this stage.
Assigned (Tentative): Sulo is looking for a couple in this stage.
Stage : Families with Preschool / School-Aged Children
Definition: Couples with the oldest child between ages and .
Assigned (Confirmed): Mia has a couple with an oldest child aged and a youngest aged months (fits Stage ).
Assigned (Tentative): Hallie is looking for a couple in this stage.
Stage : Families with Teenagers / Launching Center Families
Definition: Couples with the oldest child between ages and the period when the oldest child leaves the family unit (e.g., high school, college but still at home).
Need: The group currently needs more interviews in this stage.

Stage : Empty Nest / Retirement Families
Definition: Couples where the oldest child has left the house. This includes couples with no children who are in their later years, or those whose youngest child has left home.
Assigned (Confirmed): Katie Ann has two families in this stage (where the oldest child left, but there might be a high schooler still at home – requiring common sense clarification).
Assigned (Tentative): Alan's parents could be a good fit; Vivian also has parents in this stage.
Note: The group noted that already having three Stage interviews is sufficient, and additional interviews should focus on other stages.
