Respiration
During photosynthesis, plants produce glucose from carbon dioxide and water using light energy.
Carbon dioxide + water —→ light ( chlorophyll ) ——- glucose + oxygen
Uses:
Starch- insoluble, storage form of carbohydrate
Cellulose- used to build cell walls, adds strength to cell walls
Lipids- used for storage in seeds
Amino acids- nitrates absorbed from soil form amino acids
Proteins- amino acids join together to form specific proteins.
