Ketoacidosis – Too much acid in the blood from high sugar.
Transplant – Moving an organ from one person to another.

Prostate hyperplasia – A big prostate that makes peeing hard.
Prostatectomy – Surgery to remove the prostate.
Vagina – The birth canal.
Amniocentesis – A test where doctors take fluid from around a baby.
Placental abruption – The placenta comes off the uterus too early.
Ectopic – In the wrong place (like a pregnancy outside the uterus).
Tubal ligation – Surgery to stop pregnancy by blocking tubes.
Dyspareunia – Pain during sex.
Fallopian tubes/Uterine tubes – Tubes that carry eggs to the uterus.
Lumpectomy – Surgery to remove a lump (often in the breast).

Meniscus – Knee cushion.
Proximal – Closer to the body.
Distal – Farther from the body.
Prone – Lying face down.
Supine – Lying face up.
Anterior – The front.
Cephalic – About the head.
Hemostasis – Stopping bleeding.

Digestion – Breaking down food.
Dysphagia – Trouble swallowing.
Deglutition – Swallowing.
Peristalsis – Muscles moving food down.
Mastication – Chewing.
Aphthous – Canker sore.
Emesis – Vomiting.
Laparoscopy – Surgery with tiny cuts and a camera.
Dialysis – A machine cleans the blood when kidneys fail.
Uremia – Waste builds up in the blood.
Pyelonephritis – Kidney infection.
Glycosuria – Sugar in pee.
Nephrostomy – A tube in the kidney to drain pee.
Oliguria – Making very little pee.
Cystourethrogram – X-ray of the bladder and pee tube.
