Types:

Bogs

Vernal pool

  • shallow, intermittently flooded depression that typically dry in the summer

Playa

  • an arid wetland that has distinct wet and dry seasons

Salt marsh

  • halophytic grassland where waters fluctuate

Praire Potholes

  • Shallow, marsh-like pond
