SOLID WASTE
- the useless and unwanted products in the solid state derived from the activities of an discarded by society.
TYPES OF SOLID WASTE:
- Municipal Waste
- known as trash or garbage and include items such as food, paper, plastics, textiles, leather, wood, glass, metals and sanitary waste in septic tank.
- Mining Waste
- from extracting and processing mineral resources which includes materials such as topsoil overburden and waste rock and tailings.
- Biomedical Waste
- any waste, which is generated during the diagnosis, treatment, or immunization or human beings or animals.
- Industrial Waste
- includes materials such as demolition waste, scraps from manufacturing processes and ash from combustion.
