parietal lobes:: (back top) integrates SENSORY info is the INput

somatosensory:: the INPUT perceives touch info

Occipital lobe:: (back back) VISION area

temporal lobes:: (side middle) HEARING area

corpus callosum:: CONNECTS left and right hem. letting them communicate

hippocampus:: processes long term memory and emotional responses

amygdala:: processes emotional memories (mainly fear)

thalamus:: relays sensory info to certain parts of the brain

Hypothalamus:: works with pituitary glands to regulate feeding, fighting, and mating

Cerebellum:: coordinates motor movements helping with balance and coordination

brain stem:: regulates basic physiological processes (heart beat)

Cerebra spinal fluid:: protects the brain by cushioning brain with in skull

ventricle:: produces & stores cerebro spinal fluid

dura mater:: OUTER protective layer (TOUGH, white)

Pia mater:: INNER protective layer (THIN, clear)
