Das Monster

An einem Samstag waren ich und noch ein paar Freunde bei Katharina zu Besuch.

One Saturday , me and a few friends were visiting Katharina

Wir hörten Musik , redeten und hatten viel Spaß. Am Abend schlug Katharina dann etwas Tolles vor.

We listened to music , read and had a lot of fun. In the evening

Sie erzählte uns von einem alten Hause ganz in der Nähe.

She explain to us about an old house nearby.

Weil es schon dunkel war , nahmen wir Taschenlampen und gingen zu dem Hause.

Because it was already dark , we took flashlights and went to the house.

Das alte Haus sah schrecklich aus , dunkel und schmutzig.

The old house looked terrible , dark and dirty

Wir schauten vorsichtig durch ein kaputtes Fenster.

We carefully saw through a broken window.

Doch in der Dunkelheit konnten wir nichts sehen.

But in the darkness we could see nothing.

Plötzlich hörte ich ein lautes “Au” und etwas lief zwischen meinen Beinen durch.

Suddenly I heard a loud “Au” and something ran between my legs.

Vor Angst lieb ich die Lampe fallen und begann zu laufen.

Out of fear , I dropped the flashlight and started to run.

Meine Freunde kam hinter mir her und so Ein Monster musste sich in dem alten Haus verstecken.

My friends ran behind me , and so a monster must be hiding in the old house.

Wir erzählten sofort alles Katharinas Vater. Er wollte selbst sehen , wer in dem Haus lebte , und so gingen wir alle zusammen zu dem Haus zurück Katharinas Vater fand die Taschenlampe und sah ins Fenster.

We immediately explained everything to Katrina’s Father. He wanted to see for himself who was living in the house , so we all went back to the house together. Katrina’s father found the flashlight and looked into the window.

Doch plötzlich find er an zu lachen und sagte “Kommt mal her , ich zeige euch das furchtbare Monster!”

But suddenly he laughed and said “Come over here , I will show you the terrible monster”

Vorsichtig kamen wir näher. In dem Hause saß eine dicke Tiger-Katze und wir hörte jetzt ein lautes “Miau”. Wahrscheinlich hatte sie großen Hunger.

Carefully we came closer. Inside the house sat a fat tabby cat and we now head a loud “Miau”. She was probably very hungry.
