The Scientific Method
What is it?
A testable question
There are 4 main concepts : Test, Research, Demonstration and Mode
Scientists use the Scientific Method all the time for ideas and stuff
The 4 Main Concepts
Test
An attempt to solve a problem through experimentation
In order to verify results something is normally tested up to 3 times
A test shows WHY something works, HOW something works and WHY it reacts the way it does
Basically, it explains and answers main questions and helps to verify results of a question
Research
Information about an idea obtained through observations, surveys,Internet, Books or other sources to answer a question(s)
The goal of research is to gain infortmation to answer a question
Asking questions is Research Not A Test
Research can be collected through various methods, however the sources Must be credible, otherwise the research is not legit
Demonstration
Uses examples to explain ideas
Shows how something works
Does Not Explain WHY It Works
A test attempts to show/explain the why and the how
Model
Closely related to demonstrations
Emphasizes the materials of the object in question
Models use Diograms and designs, but it doesn’t explain WHY ( Only tests do)
Used in Demonstrations and Tests
To be classified as a Test it must provide for experimentation and measurable results
