TWO STEP EQUATIONS
Based on if you have a fraction, or just a whole number here is what you do for both.
- { fractions } -
1) c/4-2=3
What we do on this, we add two to the two and the three. Now we have (c/4=5). Then you multiply (4×5), to get (20). Then c=20.
2) x/3+7=11
What we do on this, we subtract seven to both the seven and the eleven. Now we have (x/3=4). Then you multiply (4×3), to get (12). Then x=12.
- { non fractions } -
1) 5x+2=32
First what we do, we subtract two from both the two and thirty two. Now we have (5x=30). Then you divide by five on both sides to get (x=6)
2) 7n-3=25
First what we do, we add three to both the three and twenty five. Now we have (7n=28). Then, we take the twenty eight and divide it by seven. So we get (n=4)
