Eyes
- Retina - receives and organises visual information.
- Optic nerve - sends visual information to the brain
- Yellow spot/fovea - is the sharp central vision in the middle of the retina that is necessary for humans for reading, driving, and any activity where visual detail is of primary importance.
- Blind spot- provides us with vision and we are able to see what happens around us, it is the point where the optic nerve and blood vessels leave the eyeball.
- Iris - controls pupil size and the amount of light getting into the eye.
- Pupil - allows light to enter the eye so the retina can focus.
- Vitreous humour- transparent colourless gel like substance that fills the space between the lens and the retina. It allows light to reach the retina and maintain the shape of the eyeball.
- Lens - allows the eye to focus on certain objects at varying distances.
- Cornea - The main purpose of the cornea is that it helps your eyes focus
