Anatomical Directions

• Lateral: The area being rubbed is lateral.

Cervical Plexus

• Origin: C1-C5.

• Innervation: Head, neck, shoulders, and diaphragm.

• Phrenic Nerve:

  • Origin: C3, C4, C5.

  • Function: Innervates the diaphragm for breathing (C3, 4, 5 keeps the diagphragm alive).

Brachial Plexus

• Nerves and Muscles: Know the nerves and the muscles innervated.

• Deltoid:

  • Nerve: Axillary nerve.

• Hypothenar Muscles:

  • ADM (Abductor Digiti Minimi) and FDI (First Dorsal Interosseous) are both innervated by the ulnar nerve.

Lumbar Plexus

• Two nerves come out of the lumbar plexus.

  • Femoral Nerve: Innervates muscles in the anterior thigh.

  • Superior Gluteal Nerve: Innervates Gluteus Medius

Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF)

• Production:

  • Site: Choroid plexus.

• Location: Walls of the ventricles.

• Flow:

  • Lateral ventricles → Third ventricle.
