Islamic Tourism Centre (ITC)
- Operates under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture to develop the Islamic Tourism sector.
- Primary Services: Research, industry training, advisory consultation, and certify Muslim-Friendly Tourism and Hospitality (MFTH) standards.
Global Destinations
- Southeast Asia: Malaysia and Indonesia are ranked jointly as top destinations. Singapore leads among non-OIC nations.
- Middle East: Key hubs include Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey.
- Non-OIC Performance: Average GMTI scores for non-Muslim countries increased by over 6% in 2024, highlighting improved efforts in Britain, Taiwan, and Australia.

- Essential Facilities:
- Provide Qibla indicators and prayer mats in accommodations.
- Designate clean prayer areas for guests.
- Halal Gastronomy:
- Offer certified halal food and ensure no cross-contamination.
- Activities and Entertainment:
- Provide gender-specific facilities such as separate pools or spas.
- Ensure entertainment aligns with Islamic moral standards.
- Marketing:
- Use targeted, culturally sensitive strategies to promote halal-friendly attributes and attractions.
