Bond making is exothermic

To calculate bond energies:

• Draw out each compound of the reaction e.g

• Use the table provided to work out the energy of each side ( reactants and products)

• Finally, ALWAYS DO REACTANTS MINUS THE PRODUCTS

• If positive number the reaction is endo

• If negative the reaction is exo
