Majors & Degrees

Admission Requirements

  • Specific programs at LCCC and four-year institutions have specific admission requirements. For instance:

    • LCCC Nursing (RN) Program:

      • Official high school or GED and college transcripts required.

      • Minimum GPA of 2.5 on all college-level coursework.

      • Completion of specific courses (BIOG 221, CHMY 161, ENGL 161, PSYH 151) with a grade of C or better.

      • SDEV 101 with a grade of C or better and proficient score on ATI TEAS Exam.

  • Miami University’s Farmer School of Business (FSB):

    • At least 30 graded credit hours earned applicable to the Bachelor of Science in Business.

    • Typically, an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher is needed.

    • Completion of ECO 201 and MTH 141 or equivalent.

    • Grades now will impact future admission since college GPA follows the student.

Sequenced Courses & Prerequisites

  • Prerequisite Definition:

    • Required course completion before taking another course.

    • Example: FNCE 251 requires ACTG 152, ECNM 151, and ECNM 152.
