the time could accommodate one discerning person
‘waiting for the movement of the water’
→ they were aware of the fact that they had to be conscious of the time and season
‘but while I am coming’

Thoughts: What was this guys issue? Not knowing the appointed time? others being more ready when the time comes? Over reliance on others? A lack of urgency?
Dear daughter,
‘whosoever stepped in first’ → the issue wasn’t that he wasnt willing to partake in running the race in the season of stirring, his issue was the position he entered the pool
The Bible says, run so that you may obtain the prize’, what is your disposition when running the race in the season of running
You’ve waited for the season of stirring to come, but what is you disposition when it’s time to run in the season of running? How do you run? Do you run to obtain the prize or just to be a partaker in the race? Do you say theres always next year, theres always another graduate job, opportunity, fish in the sea. RUN TO OBTAIN! His issue wasnt that He didn’t attempt to partake in the race, his issue was that he couldn’t come first everytime he did. For 38 years he couldnt come forst! Maybe the knowledge of the fact that it was a seasonal cyclical thing made him complacement. Someone said when all you have is plan A, plan A has to work, meaning run plan A like plan A is the only plan you have. Because what you don’t know is that someone else has the same plan A and is also willing to run the race to the best of their ability to make it happen! So let’s strive to obtain the prize, run this life, e.g. uni like you actually want the prize, carry out the assignemnt like you actually want to finish it with grace and honour. Remember the disposition in which you run will determine your final position at the end of the race
