The Spanish-American War

  • US fights Spain over colonies & territory

The Sepoy Mutiny

  • Rebellion of Sepoys (Indian soldiers) against the British East India Company

  • Britain puts down rebellion but takes over direct control of India

The Boxer Rebellion

  • Chinese groups angry over foreign influence in their country

Overthrow of Hawaii

Philippine Insurrection
