Lesson 2: Cách tìm từ khóa (Key word)

1. Các loại từ khóa

• Có 2 dạng từ khóa: từ khóa không biến đổi và từ khóa biến đổi

  • Từ khóa không biến đổi: giữ nguyên trong bài, dễ scan

    → tên người, địa danh, từ/ cụm từ học thuật, từ/cụm từ được đặt trong ngoặc nháy hay được in nghiên in đậm, số

  • Từ khóa biến đổi: đã bị thay đổi theo vài cách khác nhau, không scan được chính xác từ đó

    - Các cách biến đổi từ khóa

    a. Đồng nghĩa

    

    b. Bị động - Chủ động

    

    c. Thay đổi thể loại từ (danh - động - tính - trạng)

    

    d. Thay đổi trật tự từ trong câu

• Đọc câu hỏi

• Gạch chân từ khóa không biên đổi được

• Gạch chân từ khóa biến đổi được

• Dự đoán đồng nghĩa cho từ khóa biến đổi

Banks → Conservation/ Protection: sự bảo vệ

to be under threat → to be threatened/ to be in danger: bị đe dọa

Due to → Because of/ Owing to: bởi vì

A lack of funds → Not enough money/ Insufficient funds

(not enough = insufficient = a lack of): không đủ

2. The charity raised money to pay for education and the daily needs of poor people

charity → charitable organizations: tổ chức từ thiện

money → funds: quỹ

pay for → invest in/ spend on: chi cho/ đầu tư vào/ dành cho

education → schooling: giáo dục

need → demand/ requirements: nhu cầu

grow → cultivate (v): trồng trọt

a wide rage of → a wide variety of/ different kinds of: nhiều loại khác nhau

plant → crop/ tree: thực vật/ mùa màng

7. What did eggs represent on the whole?

represent sth (tượng trung cho) → a symbol of (biểu tượng của)

on the whole = in general: nhìn chung

non-Italian (kh phải người Ý) → foreign (adj): nước ngoài, ngoại quốc
