Henry VI uncle - heir to throne

Wanted war with France even though no one else did and was arrested in 1447 to silence him and he died of a stroke (or murder)

Believed he should have inherited the French and English throne and was not happy at being constantly removed from throne throughout Henry VI illness and recoveries

Duke of Suffolk:

Was the lord chamberlain but was later accused of murdering Gloucester and was accused of being a traitor. He was then accused of many of the failures in Henry VIs reign and was exiled but was beheaded during exile

Duke of Buckingham:

Helped to keep peace between nobles and was in charge of military functions in France but was killed in the battle of Northampton

Earl of Warwick:
Richard
1428-1471
Warwick was very relevant in the wars of the roses as he was very prevalent on the Yorkist side at the beginning of the war, but then betrayed Edward and moved to the Lancastrian side. He was killed in the battle of Barnet

Duke of Somerset:
Edmund Beaufort
1404-1444
Henry VI Cousin
Was a very relevant member of the military in the Hundred years war with France and was the maternal grandfather of Henry VII but was blamed for the disastrous losses in France . He died of potential suicide after a campaign in France in 1444.
