🟧 3. Ser vs. Estar
SER = permanent
DOCTOR:
Description: Soy alta.
Occupation: Él es médico.
Characteristic: Somos simpáticos.
Time/Date: Es la una.
Origin: Soy de México.
Relationship: Ella es mi amiga.
ESTAR = temporary
PLACE:
Position: El libro está en la mesa.
Location: Estoy en la escuela.
Action: Estoy comiendo.
Condition: Estoy cansado.
Emotion: Ella está feliz.
🧠 Trick: Ser = who you are; Estar = how/where you are.
🟦 4. Gustar & Similar Verbs
Structure:

Common verbs that work like gustar
gustar – to like
Me gustan los deportes.
encantar – to love (something)
A ella le encanta bailar.
interesar – to interest
Nos interesa la historia.
importar – to matter, to be important
Te importa la clase de español.
fascinar – to fascinate
A los estudiantes les fascina viajar.
aburrir – to bore
Me aburre la televisión.
molestar – to bother, to annoy
A Juan le molesta el ruido.
quedar – to remain, to fit (clothing)
Me queda bien la chaqueta.
doler (o → ue) – to hurt
Me duele la cabeza.
parecer – to seem
Me parece difícil la tarea.
11. apetecer- to feel like, to appeal.
Me apetece salir a bailar tecno.
✅ Examples:
Me gusta el chocolate. → I like chocolate.
Me gustan los libros. → I like books.
A ella le encantan los perros. → She loves dogs.
Nos interesa la historia. → History interests us / We are interested in history.
🧠 Remember: The verb agrees with the thing liked, not the person. For example:
Me gustan los libros → libros is plural → use gustan.
Me gusta el chocolate → chocolate is singular → use gusta.
🟥 5. Tener & Ir
TENER (to have)
tengo, tienes, tiene, tenemos, tenéis, tienen
Uses:Tener hambre/sed/frío/calor/sueño
Tener que + infinitive → “Tengo que estudiar.” (I have to study)
Tener ganas de + infinitive → “Tengo ganas de bailar.”
IR (to go)
voy, vas, va, vamos, vais, van
Use: ir a + place / infinitiveVoy al parque.
Vamos a estudiar.
🟩 6. Irregular / Stem-Changing Verbs
BOOT verbs: only change in yo, tú, él/ella, ellos/ellas.

Gender + number must match the noun:
