The Carbon and Nitrogen Cycle

The Carbon Cycle:

The carbon cycle is nature’s way of recycling carbon atoms. Through the carbon cycle, molecules such as protein and DNA are formed. Carbon helps regulate Earth’s temperature and is in everything; the food we eat, ourselves, and more. Most carbon is stored in rocks, while the rest is in the ocean, atmosphere, and living organisms; these are called reservoirs.

The Nitrogen Cycle:

The Earth’s atmosphere is about 70% nitrogen.
