Tools used

  • Stripper

  • Screwdriver

  • Linesman pliers

  • Screw Drill

Outlet: Hot, Ground, Neutral

Switch: Hot, Hot, Ground

  1. Screw 3 conduit boxes down

  2. Cut main wire and strip both ends (abt 6 inchs)

  3. Insert 6 inch of bare wire into power box and screw down

  4. Pull other end of bare wire through conduit 1

  5. Take another piece of main wire through conduit 1 to conduit 2. Repeat from 2 to 3

  6. For Conduit 1:

    1. Take bare spare wire and fold in (U shaped) to box.

    2. Take matching wires (black on black, white on white, copper on copper), line up and cut to make equal, strip, then twist and cover with wire nut

    3. Fold wire nuts into box

    4. Take the bare wires left out, make a small hook, and connect to outlet

  7. For Conduit 2:

    1. Take copper spare wire and fold in (U shaped) to box

    2. Take the matching wire, line up and cut to make equal, strip, then twist and cover with wire nut

    3. Take neutral wires, line up and cut to make equal, strip, then twist and cover with wire nut

    4. Take hot wires and strip

    5. Fold wire nuts into box

    6. Take the bare wires left out, make a small hook, and connect to switch

  8. For Conduit 3:

    1. Twist hot and neutral lighting wires to their matching ones

    2. Fold ground into box

    3. Connect lightbulb

  9. For Power Box:

    1. Strip edges of wire

    2. Place neutral wire in first opening box to the left. Screw down

    3. Place ground wire in middle opening box to the left. Screw down
