Neutral wire: directs current back to the power source
Live wire: carries current to the appliance
Fuse: breaks the circuit if the live and neutral wires connect
Cable grip: holds the cable tightly so the wires do not become loose
Outer insulation: keeps the cable insulated so that you aren’t electrocuted if you touch it
