Work Summary for January 2025

New Year Celebrations and Preparations

  • 1/1/2025: New Year Celebration held at GMRICS Ahmedabad office. Arranged a Google Earth KMZ coordinate file for borehole locations at Ambaji in Google Earth Pro. Welcomed Ashwini Singh Rathore to the GMRICS team.

  • 1/2/2025: Conducted preparations and discussions regarding additional exploration work and field activities. Departed for the Ambaji Copper Project.

Field Visits and Geological Studies

  • 1/3/2025: Conducted a field visit at the Ambaji mine area with Ashwini Singh Rathore. Briefed on geological details specific to Ambaji and provided updates on current lease status. Visited the pit area around GTA-1.

  • 1/4/2025: Accompanied Ashwini Singh Rathore to the Central and Southern lodes of Ambaji Copper mines. Reviewed general geology and techniques to correlate the Northern lode with the Central lode, noting extensions of mineralization into the Southeastern lode.

Data Collection and Analysis

  • 1/6/2025: Reviewed and organized old borehole sections provided by GMDC Ambaji, and plotted them on the geological map.

  • 1/7/2025: Continued sorting old borehole sections and litho data for proposing PBH-1, PBH-2 & PBH-3. Welcomed Project Manager Dr. Navin Goyal and new geologist Miss Anoushka Raju Chundawat. Gained insights on various drilling types (inclined/vertical) and techniques.

Geological Data Collection

  • 1/8/2025: Collected structural data from the Central and Northern lodes. Started learning the basics of AutoCAD functions.

  • 1/9/2025: Conducted a field visit at the Deri and Basantghar Base Metal mine areas, enhancing understanding of the structural geology and collecting samples of Galena and Chalcopyrite from the Basantghar mine area. Observed two inclines in the Basantghar Mine area.

  • 1/10/2025: Collected additional structural data from the field while sharing information with Ashwini and Anoushka regarding major rock types and host rocks. Noted epidotization in the northern GTA-1 pit area.

Continuing Database Updates and New Members

  • 1/11/2025: Continued to review and sort old borehole sections from GMDC Ambaji and plotted these on the geological map. Welcomed new geologist, Mr. Jaydeep Sinh Jadeja, and the Director of Exploration at Ambaji Copper Project.

  • 1/13/2025: Conducted a field visit with fellow geologists across the Northern, Central, and Southeastern lodes, later visiting J.D. Trivedi Marble mines where significant pyrite mineralization was observed.

Administrative Days and Equipment Follow-Up

  • 1/15/2025: Observed Makar Sankranti public holiday.

  • 1/16/2025: Attended the GMRICS office in Ahmedabad. Followed up on DGPS and Lease maps at GMDC Head Office with H.M. Purohit ji. Arranged for a diamond cutting rig for the Ambaji site.

Additional Field Work and Data Correlation

  • 1/17/2025: Departed for Ambaji Copper Project, accompanied by Mr. Anand Pandya (GMDC Geologist). Worked at the Central lode near GTA-1.

  • 1/18/2025: Reviewed GTA-1, GTA-2, and GTA-3 borehole litho data. Continued learning on Auto-CAD functionalities.

Finalization of Geological Data

  • 1/20/2025: Engaged in plotting old structural and borehole data on the geological map, marking mineralized areas and lithological bands.

  • 1/21/2025: Bidding farewell to Miss Krupa Chauhan and Mr. Jaydeep Sinh Jadeja, who were transferred to the Ghadsisa project. Improved AutoCAD handling skills and sorted old borehole sections across various series.

  • 1/22/2025: Rechecked and replotted borehole and structural data on the geological map. Reviewed mineralization and borehole location data thoroughly.

Mapping and Project Progress

  • 1/23/2025: Continued mapping of litho and structural data at a scale of 1:1000, applying knowledge of AutoCAD basics.

  • 1/24/2025: Completed descriptions for remaining samples and reviewed the MECL report for comparative insights with old data. Correlated old MECL mapping with updated geological mappings.

Conclusion of Documentation Tasks

  • 1/25/2025: Assisted Director of Exploration in preparing PowerPoint presentations in Ahmedabad. Arranged necessary stationery items for Ambaji Copper Project.

  • 1/27/2025: Attended GMRICS office in Ahmedabad. Followed up on Auto-Desk (Auto-CAD) installation at GMDC Head Office. Discussed project progress with Director of Exploration.

  • 1/28/2025: Discussed exploration status and fieldwork with the Director of Exploration while also picking up stationery for both the Ambaji and Ghadsisa projects.

  • 1/29/2025: Departed with Director of Exploration and Director of R&D for Ambaji Copper Project, enhancing AutoCAD skills through discussions with Anoushka and Assistant Manager Survey.

  • 1/30/2025: Performed fieldwork around the Northern lode and pit area, collecting Galena samples.

  • 1/31/2025: Wrapped up documentation work, reviewing old borehole data and sorting sections for various borehole series.
