mRNA

mRNA (messenger RNA) is a SINGLE stranded molecule that copies the code in the nucleus and (since it is smaller than DNA can fit through the nucleus then travel through the cytoplasm) takes it to the ribosome. At the ribosome, the order of bases is read and this codes for a sequence of amino acids.
