Reflex - an automatic, innate reactions meant to protect you; such as pulling away from a hot surface.

Reflex Arc

1. sensory receptors stimulate sensory neurons

• photorec. - visual 

• mechanoreceptors - auditory in ears, har cells feeling air

• gustory - in mouth gustation, taste buds on tongue

• olfactory - smell in nose

• pressure - pain and temp for skin

2. sensory neurons receive info from receptors (dendrites)

3. interneurons connects sensory neurons to motor neuron and integrates info

• central nervous system

4. motor neurons sends signal to muscle

5. muscle contracts
