Paper 1 Exam Structure

Paper 1 consists of two texts:

Tone Identification

  • Tone reflects the writer's attitude and can be positive, negative, or neutral.
  • Watch for emotional tonal words in questions about specific paragraphs.

  • Develop your points from highlighted notes in the passage.
  • Ensure your summary adheres to the word count (90 words).
