   The stall was the kind you often see in the countryside in

summer, selling surplus produce from someone's garden: a

glut of green beans, a few misshapen courgettes. There was

we the usual "honesty box" into which to push your coins. But

- beside it was a notice: "You are being watched" and an arrow

pointing upwards to a security camera's all-seeing eye. Cycling

back through the sweet-smelling Suffolk lanes, I felt rather

bleak. The stall was beside a Norman church in the sleepiest

village. The sum at risk was just a few quid. The camera didn't

appear to be plugged in. But that didn't matter. The point was

even in this lovely, remote and - to my city mind - innocent

place, CCTV had once again replaced trust.

   Whether we are buying a sandwich, taking a bus or visiting

the doctor we have become relaxed about our presence being

recorded.

A woman missing in the Queensland rainforest in Australia for 17 days has been found alive

     A woman missing for more than two weeks in a ruggedAustralian rainforest has stumbled out alive after surviving a chase by a crocodile and eating small fish, officials and reports said Thursday.

     Shannon Fraser, 30, went missing on September 21 near the remote Josephine Falls in Queensland state after becoming disorientated, wearing just leggings, a shirt and flip flops.

     She was spotted by a banana farmer on Wednesday, covered in cuts, welts, bruises and insect bites, the Brisbane Courier-Mail reported.

     She's lost lots of weight, she's covered in cuts and scratches, but she's in good spirits, her brother Dylan Fraser told the newspaper.

     Reports said she lost nearly 17 kilogrammes (37 pounds) during her

ordeal.

     The Courier-Mail said Fraser told her family that during her feat of survival she came face-to-face with a giant cassowaryflightless bird, and gor chased by a two-metre (6.5-foot) freshwater crocodile.
