HIGHLIGHTS IN SAUNDERS
Goodell’s sign: softening of the cervix (occurs at the beginning of the second month)
Chadwick’s sign: violet coloration of the mucous membranes of the cervix, vagina, and vulva that occur at about 6 weeks
During pregnancy a woman’s v/s may change: HR may increase about 10-15 bpm, BP slightly decreases in 2nd trimester & then increases in the 3rd, RR slightly increases or remains unchanged
