Academy Meeting – Training, Posters, Operational Plan & Job-Fair
Completion of First Training Session (Class A & B)
Timeline
Class B finished “last week.”
Class A expected to finish “next week.”
Student‐Satisfaction Survey (Class B only)
Overall facility average: /
Lecturer rating: /
Detailed feedback
Facilities & space
Majority “strongly agree” or “agree.”
Internet connection drew the most “normal” (neutral) responses; intermittent drop-outs during app-development tasks.
Work-around: instructor switched to an off-line development approach.
Classroom & workspace
Generally “strongly agree.”
Female trainees raised repeated complaints about toilet conditions (cannot be fixed quickly).
Equipment (PCs) rated highly; issue mainly the network.
Poster for Second Training (Marketing Material)
Two draft versions
Sample A → yellow background, more suited to social media (Instagram, SMS).
Sample B → white background, contains actual class photos, “more formal.”
Alignment guidelines
Must follow ASEAN-WAY & NIPA‐ASEAN logo rules; presenter will send official logo guide after meeting.
Decision
Use both posters for different channels.
Poster A: Facebook feed, casual promotion.
Poster B: Official web page, AKCF, ASEAN-WAY posts.
Designer (Yanan) to adjust logo placement & alignment on both.
Operational Plan for the Academy (Between Batches)
Current status
School vacation starts after next week; no regular classes.
Class B report already complete; Class A report due by month-end.
Promotion for Second Batch also starts this month.
Two supplementary ideas
“Special Training Course for Teachers”
Tracks
Web & App → taught by Class B instructor.
AI & AIoT → taught by Class A instructor.
Preliminary instructor availability: both free mornings in August; cannot teach afternoons.
Tentative format: daily morning class for – weeks; IICT to supply number of interested teachers.
“Holiday Special Lecture for Everyone” (public, all ages)
Purpose: broad promotion of academy & ICT center.
Need to define: number of days, content scope, exact schedule.
Next Step: presenter will draft a detailed plan and circulate to the two co-organizers.
Job Fair Planning
Original concept
Hold combined job fair after both Batch 1 & Batch 2 complete, to boost attendance.
Proposed month earlier: September; recent suggestion: October (half-day) in IICT meeting room.
Core participant groups already listed; trainees must prepare presentations to “promote themselves.”
Concerns & debate
Batch 1 readiness
Many Batch 1 trainees already placed:
trainees (≈½ of Class A) have jobs.
– high-GPA students still seeking positions.
Waiting – months after completion may be inefficient for their job search.
Traditional vs. new format
Korean side notes normal job fairs use company booths + live interviewing, not student stage presentations.
Hybrid suggestion: keep booths and support students to pitch on stage (short, coached presentations) to maximize visibility.
Additional channel: continuous sharing of intern / part-time offers from Korean firms in Laos, not just the annual fair.
Action items
Further phone call between Jonghoon & Sun-Min to refine timing & format.
Prepare a specific plan (schedule, participant list, booth layout, presentation coaching) before next joint meeting.
Miscellaneous Points & Logistical Notes
Vacation impact: organizer was on holiday last week, catching up now.
Communication flow
After this meeting, organizer to call Sun-Min (in Korean) and then update Arumah via shared document.
Yanan to realign logos before publishing posters.
Ethical / practical implications
Emphasis on fair access: maintaining connection with partially placed trainees, offering equal visibility at job fair.
Gender-sensitive facilities noted (female restroom complaints) but currently unresolved.
Immediate Next Steps (Action Checklist)
Yanan fixes logo alignment & delivers final A/B files.
Draft detailed morning-only schedule (1–2 weeks) → send to IICT to confirm trainer & teacher counts.
Outline content, duration, target audience; propose dates during school vacation.
Phone consultation (Jonghoon ↔ Sun-Min) → refine into written plan (booths + presentations) → share with Arumah.
Finish Class A training report by end-of-month.
End of compiled notes.
