• Reviewer Dynamics: Committees review 1,000–2,000 applicants for 30–150 seats; evaluators read 400–500 statements each. Professionalism and clear flow are critical.

• Narrative Arc: Frame as a story addressing key motivations, trajectory, lessons learned, and obstacles overcome.

  • Valid Motivations: Childhood hospital stays, family health issues, or pivotal experiences with animals.

Content Rules

• Performance over Effort: Focus on measurable results and honest capability rather than asserting hard work.

• Prior Experiences: Exclude high school or elementary activities unless they directly triggered the decision to enter the field.

Logistics and Revisions
