500g ground beef/pork mixture
150ml milk
75g white breadcrumbs
1 egg
1 onion

2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp wheat flour
400ml meat stock
50ml double cream
2 tsp Chinese soy sauce
1 pinch black pepper
1 tbsp apple sauce or jelly (optional)

Preparation
Sauté finely chopped onion in butter.
Soak breadcrumbs in milk.
Blend ground meat with onion, egg, breadcrumb mixture, and spices in a food processor.
Fry a test meatball to check flavor; add water if the mixture is too firm.
Shape small meatballs using two spoons and arrange on water-rinsed plates.
Brown meatballs in butter in a frying pan.
Gravy Preparation
Melt butter in a saucepan, then stir in flour.
Slowly add stock while stirring continuously.
Simmer for 3-5 minutes.
Add cream, soy sauce, pepper, and optional apple sauce or jelly.
