NVRA CVR Examination Local Testing Requirement

• The CVR examination is exclusively conducted in person and is not available for remote testing.

Audibility Test for Voicewriters Handbook Regulations

• The regulations regarding the Audibility Test for Voicewriters are documented on page $10$ of the P&P handbook, which was most recently revised on February $22$, $2023$.

• During the examination, monitors are tasked with moving through the test room to continuously check for participant audibility.

Monitoring and Audibility Thresholds

• Maximum Range of Audibility: Participants are strictly prohibited from being audible within a distance of $2\,\text{feet}$.

• Dictation Monitoring: If a participant is heard by a monitor while they are dictating, specific physical protocols are initiated to signal the violation.

Violation Penalties and Response Protocols

• Warning Indicator: A tap on the arm from a monitor serves as a formal warning that the participant is currently audible.

• Segment Disqualification: A tap on the shoulder from a monitor signifies formal disqualification from the current segment of the examination.

• Protocol for Multi-Segment Tests: If a participant is disqualified from a single segment, they are permitted to resume reporting on the subsequent segment.

• Full Examination Disqualification: If a participant receives a subsequent tap on the shoulder during the test, they are required to cease all operation of reporting equipment immediately and are disqualified for the entirety of the examination.

Post-Disqualification Conduct and Privilege Suspension

• Required Actions After Disqualification: Upon receiving a shoulder tap, the participant must immediately cease the operation of all reporting equipment.

• Environmental Conduct: The disqualified individual must sit quietly for the remaining duration of the testing segment.

• Prohibited Behaviors: Participants are forbidden from touching their equipment or moving around in a manner that might disturb other individuals currently testing.

• Suspension of Privileges: Creating a disturbance following a disqualification may result in the suspension of all testing privileges for a period of $1\,\text{year}$.
