Emergency Measures for Coma

A. COMA (EGS)

Emergency Measures (IASG)

  1. IV Drip

    • Start an intravenous drip for medication and shock treatment.

    • Use an 18 gauge venous catheter at a rate of 100-200ml/hour.

  2. Airway Management (AAOM)

    • Maintain adequate airway.

    • Give artificial respiration if necessary.

    • Administer oxygen.

    • Use manual or mechanical resuscitation if respiration falls below 10 breaths per minute.

  3. Shock Treatment

    • Treat shock appropriately.

    • Hospitalize the patient for further care.

  4. Gastric Lavage (AC)

    • Perform gastric lavage with activated charcoal.
