High-Performance Aircraft Endorsement Requirements
- Prerequisites for Acting as Pilot in Command (PIC):
- A person holding a private pilot certificate is prohibited from acting as pilot in command of a high-performance airplane unless specific ground, flight, and logbook endorsement requirements are met.
- Required Ground and Flight Instruction:
- The pilot must receive both ground instruction and flight instruction.
- The instruction must be provided by an authorized flight instructor.
- Logbook Endorsement:
- Following the completion of the required instruction, the authorized flight instructor who conducted the training must place a formal endorsement in the pilot's logbook.
