ATP synthase
I can explain the inputs, outputs and steps of oxidative phosphorylation
Steps
NADH & FADH2 donate electrons to ETC becoming NAD+, FAD
electrons move through protein complexes, pumping H+ into intermembrane space
creates an H+ concentration gradient
oxygen acts as an electron acceptor and combines with e- & H+ to form H2O
protons (H+) flows back through ATP synthase
ATP is produced from ADP + Pi
