Was the League of Nations a success (20s)?

To what extent was the League of Nations a success?

  • 1919- 1945
  • Very successful in the 20s, not so much in the 30s

\ Birth of the League:

The LoN was to be an organisation that could solve international problems without resorting to war

Was driven by Woodrow Wilson (USA) who did not end up joining the LoN

If conflict other countries would stop trade and send troops.

Nations would disarm
