Chapter 1: Vocabulary
Alleluia — “praise God”
synagogue — place of prayer & worship for Jewish people
Chapter 2: Vocabulary
grace — our share in God’s life
Gospel — the written Good News that Jesus saved us
rite — words and actions of a sacrament
sacrament — sacred signs in which we meet Jesus and receive a share in God’s life
liturgy — the Church’s public worship
Liturgy of the Hours — the official daily prayer of the Church; also known as the Divine Office

Scripture practice
Using a Bible, be able to find a passage in Scripture and copy it word for word, just like we practiced in class. The passage will be from one of the 4 Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke & John).
