DOUBLE VOWELS

• Examples of double vowels:
    - obaasan (おばあさん) - grandmother
    - iie (いいえ) - no
    - suugaku (すうがく) - mathematics
    - oneesan (おねえさん) - older sister
    - doomo arigatoo (どうもありがとう) - thank you very much
    - ryoori (りょうり) - cooking
• Rules:
    - o + ba + a + sa + n
    - su + u + ga + ku
    - o + e + sa + n
    - do + o + mo

DOUBLE CONSONANTS

• Double consonants will be represented using small characters:
    - kakko (かっこ) - bracket
