Negation

Ne…plus= not anymore/no longer

Ne…ni…ni= neither/nor

Ne…personne= no one (personne ne… when no one is the subject)

Ne…rien= nothing (rien ne… when nothing is the subject)

Ne…que= only/none but

Remember: ne ni ni, ne personne, and ne que go around both the auxiliary verb and the past participle)

When do you use qui? When the verb is not conjugated for the subject.

When do you use que? When there is a subject and verb that is conjugated correctly.
