1.1: Change In Tandem

Function: Mathematical relationship that maps a set of input values to a set of output values such that each input is mapped to exactly 1 output.

Function Notation

• Output is expressed as y= f(x), x is the input and f(x) is the output

• Increasing Function: a < b, f(a)

• Decreasing Function:

Change In Tandem: When a set of 2 or more quantities work simultaneously in close coordination to each other.

• When movement of 1 entity is entirely associated or dependent on the movement of another (mostly in the same direction).
