Ten terms

Flashbulb Memory- A vivid and detailed memory caused by an important event or an unexpected surprise. 

State Dependent Memory- when recalling information is more effective when you're in your internal state. Ex: When someones drunk and learns something it’ll be easier to remember again while drunk. 

Primary Reinforcers- A reinforcer that fulfills a basic physical need and does not depend on learning. 

Secondary Reinforcers-  A reinforcer required to learn through association of another reinforcer. 

Mnemonic Devices- Special aids that are used for information. 

Pavlov Dog Study- Unconditioned Response and Stimulus as well as Conditioned Response and Stimulus.  

Incubation- Unconscious-Processing when a person puts aside a problem or task. 

Negative Reinforcement-  Termination of an unpleasant stimulus conditioned after a response. 

Unconditioned Stimulus- Puff of air in eye

Shaping- Learning in small steps is also used to condition complex behaviors in people and animals.
