SECURITY FORCES SQUADRON SPECIAL SECURITY INSTRUCTIONS

  • Duty Title and Call Sign: Internal Security Response Team (ISRT)/Southwest Flightline, Sierra 3/3A

  • Date: 7 November 2024

  • Authority: Legal military order under Article 92, UCMJ

ARMAMENT

  • M-4: 120 rounds of 5.56mm (4 to 1 ball/tracer)

  • M-9: 30 rounds (9mm hollow point)

  • Less-than-Lethal Device: Tactical Baton/ASP

POST LIMITS

  • Primary AOR: Southwest Side Flightline, including 89 AW MPA, DV Apron, Hangers 5-9

  • Secondary AOR: Northwest Side Flightline, Transient Apron, Hangers 1-4

  • Response Protocol: If Sierra-1/1A is absent, maintain coverage of the entire Westside Flightline unless directed otherwise.

CHAIN OF COMMAND

  • Sierra-1 > Flight Commander/Chief > Operations > 316 SFS/CC > Defense Force Commander > 316 WC

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide immediate response to incidents in controlled areas of Joint Base Andrews.

  • Manage access control and challenge unauthorized personnel.

  • Maintain Ramp Plot for aircraft within 30 minutes of assuming post.

  • Conduct ongoing physical security checks and patrols.

  • Notify BDOC of all checks and incidents.

ADDITIONAL INSTRUCTIONS

  • Personnel must ensure cleanliness upon shift change; status of equipment must be relayed.

  • POVs not authorized in controlled areas without proper pass.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT

  • Android Team Awareness Kit (ATAK)

  • Common Access Card, AF Forms, Certification Cards (if applicable)

  • Personal Protective Equipment e.g., Plate Carrier, Helmet, Weather Gear

  • Tactical gear including gloves, hearing protection, handcuffs, operational radio
