  1. Flag Belt -

  • Flags must be visible (not covered by clothing)

  • Players must have possession of the ball before they can legally be flagged

  • Runner must not flag guard ( using any part of the body or ball to deny opponent from pulling flag) 

  • Flag guarding - automatic 10 yard penalty


  1. Body Contact

  2. Blocking, picking, screening is not permitted

  3. Scoring 

    Touchdown - advancing the ball into the opponent's End Zone = 6 points

 Endzone - scoring area on a football field (it is the area between the endline and the goal within the sidelines


  1. Number of Players

  • Seven players on the field per team

  • The 7 players on offense consist of a center, a quarterback and five eligible receivers. 


  •  a. Center. This player’s sole responsibility is to snap the ball to begin the play. 

                  The center is the only ineligible player on the field. 


  • . b. Quarterback. This player receives the snap from the center and initiates the play either through a handoff or pass. The quarterback cannot directly run with the ball across the line of scrimmage.

  • The quarterback (QB) has 7 seconds to pass the ball then the ball is considered dead.


  •  c. Receiver/back. Any player who does not initiate the snap nor receive the snap is considered an eligible receiver/back and can either receive a handoff or catch a pass. 


  1. Playing Time


  • Games consists of two 15 minute halves (running time)






  1. Start of Game


  • The kicking team is determined by  a coin toss (winning team will decide to kick-off, receive the kick-off or choice of endzones)

  • To begin the series of three downs (3), the ball is placed on the ground at the point where the ball-carrier was flagged on the kick-off, this marks the line of scrimmage


  1. Possession 


  • Offensive Team (offense) - is the team that has possession of the ball

  • Defensive Team (defense) - is the team not in possession of the ball

  • The offensive team will have four downs to score  a touchdown

  • All offensive players must take a position on or behind the line of scrimmage

  • All defensive players must take a position behind the line scrimmage(10 yards)

 on the opposite side

  • A player designated as the Center will then begin the play by snapping the ball to the quarterback (QB) who must receive the ball at least 5 yards behind the line of scrimmage

  • Receivers are not permitted to cross the line of scrimmage until after the snap

  • A play ends when a defender flags the ball carrier


  1. Line of Scrimmage


  • The center is the only offensive player required to be set on the line of scrimmage at the snap

  • Line of Scrimmage - an imaginary line that expands the width of the field and runs through the point of the football


  1. Fumbles


  • All fumbles are blown dead as soon as the ball strikes the ground


  1. Ball Carrier 


  • If a ball carrier touches the ground with any part of their body, other than their feet, the ball is whistled dead at that point

  • Exception: when the quarterback is receiving a snap or when a kick-off receiver is receiving a kick-off





  1.  Personal Fouls

  

  •  Make any contact with opponent

  • Punch , strike, steal or attempt to steal the ball from a player in possession

  • Trip, hold,hurdle or grab an opponent
