Scales of Measurements
In statistics, the four levels of measurement are defined as follows:
Nominal: Categories without a specific order (e.g., gender, colors).
Ordinal: Categories with a meaningful order but no consistent difference between them (e.g., rankings).
Interval: Numeric scales with equal intervals but no true zero point (e.g., temperature in Celsius).
Ratio: Numeric scales with equal intervals and a true zero point, allowing for meaningful comparisons (e.g., weight, height).
