Course Structure and Exam Schedule
Course Breakdown:
The course will be divided into three sections:
Chapters 1-4 followed by an exam on February 25.
Chapters 5, 6, and 8 culminating in an exam on April 1.
Final exam scheduled for May 6 from 8-10 AM (as assigned by the registrar).

MindTap Homework System
Homework Management:
Homework will be hosted on the MindTap platform.
No extensions on deadlines; students must be responsible for submitting assignments timely.
MindTap Course Key:
The course key for MindTap (n t p p) is necessary for registration after purchasing an access code.
Students will have two weeks of free temporary access; ensure registration by February 3.
D2L Course Management
Announcements & Notifications:
Students must set up D2L announcement notifications.
Regular announcements will be made, typically on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, to inform students of due dates and other important information.
Document Resources:
A document for easy registration to MindTap is posted in D2L.
Ensure to use the proper spelling of your name during registration to avoid confusion.
Attendance Verification
Verification of Attendance Assignment:
The first MindTap assignment (math and graphing homework) counts towards attendance verification and must be completed by January 26 at 11:59 PM.
An N grade will be assigned for non-compliance with attendance verification requirements.
Class Activities and Quizzes
Quizzes:
Quizzes will be in person, not multiple choice or true/false; will include definitions, graphs, and explanations.
Lowest three quiz grades will be dropped, with no make-up quizzes allowed.
Exams:
Each major exam will be worth 100 points. Final exam cumulative, worth 130 points.
Grading Breakdown
Homework:
Based on MindTap, 80 points of overall grade, with the three lowest homework scores dropped.
Quizzes:
Quizzes count for 70 points, three lowest dropped.
Exams:
Regular exams: 100 points each, with specific dates noted. Final exam: 130 points.
