Evolution: Any change in the heritance traits within a population across generations.

(decent modification) : all living things can make copies of themselves, but not perfectly. Small variations can build up over generations to create dramatic differences in the body form and function of living things. (like wolves and dogs)

evidence overwemingly suggests that all life on earth is related.

Natural Selection.

Charles Darwin discoverd Natural selection.

Natural Selection is the process by which random evolutionary changes are selected for by nature in a consistent, ordely, non-random way.

Through the process of decent modification, new traits are ramdomly produced. Nature then carefully deciedes which of those new traits to keep.

Positive changes add up to multiple generations, and negative traits are quickly discarded.

DNA: (DeoxyriboNucleic Acid)

DNA is a molecule. (a bunch of atoms stuck together)

DNA acts like a blueprint or recipe for a living thing.

Amino Acids: Tiny little chemicals inside our bodies. theres about 20 different kinds of Amino Acids and each have a unique shape.

Amino acids, all the differnt kinds, can be attached to eachother to produce an endless variety of larger particles called proteins.

Amino Acids - Proteins - Living cells - Tissue - Organs - Living things.

the proteins all have unique shape in order to function. if not, they don’t work.

Thats where DNA comes in.

RNA :

DNA is structed having a sort of code.

This is stored inside the nucleus in a living cell, where RNA is also found.
