Violence: Violence is presented as a self-perpetuating force as each murder begets(causes) the next, which in turn corrupts the individual’s mind and transgresses (goes against) the natural and social order.

Ambition: Ambition begins as a seductive promise of progress but, when unchecked (uncontrolled), distorts the moral compass, causing individuals to ignore lasting spiritual and moral consequences in favour of temporary power.

Guilt: It is an inescapable psychological torment that externalises inner corruption, gradually consuming sanity and reducing individuals to carcasses of insanity (empty shell)

Gender: Gender is portrayed as a rigid (fixed) system that confines people, where masculine and feminine traits are adopted or weaponised (used to hurt) to pursue authority, but where both conformity and rebellion are ultimately punished

Appearance vs Reality: False appearances are exploited for personal gain, enabling treachery(betrayal) and moral corruption through carefully constructed, deceptive facades (false appearance)

Supernatural: The supernatural exists in a liminal realm (in between) beyond natural order and social norms, intersecting with the human world to both expose and reflect human ambition and hubris (lots of pride)
