Nervous Tissue

The nervous system, including the brain, spinal cord, and nerves, is essential for receiving stimuli from internal and external sources, coordinating activities, and facilitating communication. It consists of two main cell types: neurons and neuroglia. Neurons are specialized cells responsible for transmitting nerve impulses, primarily located in the brain and spinal cord. Neuroglia, on the other hand, are connective tissues that provide support and protection to neurons.
