Non-Polar Covalent Bonds- Formed by equal (or nearly equal) sharing of electrons between two nonmetal or metalloid atoms

Polar Covalent Bonds- Formed by uneven sharing of electrons between two nonmetals or metalloids

Ionic Bonds- Formed by the transfer of electrons from a metal to a nonmetal

What makes Polarity- asymmetrical electron distribution around the molecule (different electronegativity)

Electronegativity- The ability of an atom to attract shared electrons (how much the element wants electrons around it) (13 year-old girls at 1D, mor protons = more boys in band), increases from left to right
